A couple users are not able to use specific functions from RCT (Connect to c$ share)

We have multiple admin jump boxes that are to be used for admin functions. On each of these admin servers we have the Configuration Manager console installed along with RCT which dozens of admins log into to use.

For some reason we have a couple users out of hundreds that are not able to use specific functions of RCT.

The easiest one to use as an example is a couple users are not able to use the “connect to c$” for any computers. They are able to launch windows explorer and connect with no issues manually, but it will not work using RCT.

Is there any settings or anything that can be checked to see why a specific user would not be able to use “Connect to c$”? They are an administrator and have full access to the c$ share on the remote systems as proven by being able to manually connect via Windows Explorer. via RCT the screen comes up and then disappears, but Windows explorer is never launched.

We have compared all permissions and even did a like for like with a coworker where this is working with no issues and still can’t get it to work.

What’s interesting is this follows the user. They are unable to use this feature from any of the jumpboxes that are setup excluding a bad setup on one server.

Anyone have any ideas? We are a bit stumped?
