Application Errors after closing Console - with RCT 4.9 and higher

If I install any newer version of RCT higher than (4.9.2209.701). The console will log 2 events to the Event Viewer.

I have yet to figure this out, it happens in my Test & Prod Env.

Been living with this issue for a while now. Was support able to resolve your issue?

No, never has been resolved. Upgraded to 2503, tried the latest RCT still same issue. Gave up and went back to an older version.

Good to know. We’ve been living with it for a about 2 years now. Only happening on our site server (Server 2019, SQL 2016, MECM 2409, RCT Ent). We’ve been through multiple MECM & RCT Ent versions. Once RCT is uninstalled, error goes away when closing console. If using MECM & RCT Ent locally on my own system or on another management server, there are no issues.

I was hoping support was able to help and I would have opened a ticket.

The only way the console does not crash is if I use an older version 4.9.2209.701

Did you contact the Support team?

There is this known issue with HP/Dell using outdate DLLs. and placing those DLLS within the ConfigMgr console folder. ConfigMgr Issues After Right Click Tools | Recast Docs
