I am attempting to use the WOL feature in SCCM Right Click Tools. I am having a problem with it trying to send the packets to the wrong IP address. the SCCM properties show the correct IP and also when I ping the machine using either standard SCCM ping or Right Click Tools ping it pings the correct IP. Does anyone know where the WOL feature pulls its info to know which IP to push to or does anyone know why it is doing this?
The Right Click Tools use hardware inventory for IP Address, IP Subnet, and MAC Address when sending WOL packets. Specifically, the WOL tool looks at SMS_G_System_NETWORK_ADAPTER_CONFIGURATION. If these fields are populated with stale data, the WOL feature will not work.
