RCT Community Version 4.1.2002.3003 crashing

Good Afternoon!

After updating to version RCT Community 4.1.2002.3003 we are getting frequent unhandled exception crashes.

In Event Viewer I keep seeing RCT crashing coinciding with .net (see below). The previous version of RCT we didn’t have any issues like this and we meet the current requirements.

This event happens first followed by the one below the lines.

This is still happening after a clean install. The first time we had just upgraded.

I’m sorry to hear that you are having problems. Is there a specific RCT action that you are running that is causing the problem? or is it something that you are seeing when running multiple actions?

Multiple actions. From running machine policy on a device collection to adding devices to a collection and others.

Is anyone else having this issue? We are still having this issue and will be rolling back to a previous version as version 4.1.2002.3003 has become unusable for us.

Sorry you’re experiencing this issue. I think we’ve found the bug and will have a fix in 4.2, coming in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, I would recommend rolling back to a release that’s worked for you.

Thanks for bringing the issue to our attention.
Chris

Thanks for letting me know. This also is happening with version 4.1.2001.3101. Looking forward to 4.2.

We have updated this morning from Right Click Tools-4.1.1912.33189 to the new version and we have the same error, apparently there is a problem in its programming:

Greetings

Thanks for reporting the issue. This looks like an issue with the error UI in the Remote Software Center. I’ve added a bug to the backlog to try to fix this. Where in the console did you launch Remote Software Center from when you encountered this bug?

Thanks,
Chris

Chris, the error appears when the window starts to search for updates once the computers you want to search on have been selected. Before you click on “install Missing updates”.

Thanks,
Nikolas

Could you try downloading the software again to see if the new version (4.2.2003.4501) helps?

Thanks,
Chris

Good afternoon, Chrism,

We have been testing our systems which consists of about 2000 computers, and now the error comes up sometimes, we have downloaded the latest update Right Click Tools-4.2.2003.4601, and the error persists, it is exactly the same.

Thank you very much,
Greetings
