Just got our Recast Enterprise Server setup and I was able to assign a security role to an AD security group however it does not appear to actually work. Is this a supported setup? I am relatively new to Recast’s Enterprise Server so please forgive me if this is a “dumb question”
We’ve received this question from a number of customers, it’s definitely not a dumb question.
Unfortunately, we don’t have a way to make AD security groups work in the current version - for now you’ll need to assign each user individually. We will have support for assigning permissions to AD groups in the next release.

Has this been fixed in the 4.0 release?
4.0 has support for AD security groups. Note that it’s still in beta, we’re hoping to have a release sometime in August.
