Rerun Deployment action not working

Started noticing that the Rerun Deployment action has seemingly stopped working for us.

We just upgraded to SCCM 1806, and previously I know this has functioned before. I just uninstalled Recast and installed the latest community version, 3.2.6887.24316.

The GUI screen shows a success, yet the deployment never runs again.

If I look at the recast logs in appdata\etc, the RightClickToolsDesktop.log (I think that is the pertinent one) shows a series of warning. Other things function, ie, I have executed the Restart SMS Agent and I can watch the service stop and start on the system.

Any help appreciated, we used to use this function quite a bit

Could you try running the action again and send a zip file of all of the logs to info@recastsoftware.com?

Hi, tried this 3 times now. I download what I think is the free version, run the install and its for Enterprise-Standalone. Asks for login and I click download license, nothing happens.

Please uninstall your current version of Right Click Tools using the Microsoft Uninstall Troubleshooter found here:

Hi, no joy.
Used the tool to uninstall the old one. Managed to download and install the correct version (the free one).
Opened SCCM - Went to deployments - tried to run a re-deployment - same error.

Can you verify AD System Discovery is enabled?

Yes, it is enabled. It used to work perfectly fine, but since we used a up dated version, where it asks you to sign in, we been having problems. An uninstall/reinstall used to sort it but now it doesn’t.

Please close out of Configuration Manager and delete any files located here: C:\ProgramData\Recast Software\Licenses as well as here: %AppData%\Recast Software\Licenses.

Afterwards, please reopen Configuration Manager and test if issues persist.

Hi. Thanks for that. Deleted contents of the 2 folders, reopend console - Deployments - RCT - Client Tools on Deployment - Rerun Deployment — Same error. I did make sure the console was closed by all users.

Do you run the console as a different user? If so, can you delete the %AppData%\Recast Software\Licenses for that user account.

Hi. Tried that, no change.
We’ve now tried this: Closed all consoles. uninstalled RCT. Deleted all references in the registry and deleted all folder and files related to RCT.
Re-installed 4.8 - Opened console - tried running a re-deployment - same error.

Please attempt to run the action again and send the log files over to brandenh@recastsoftware.com.

Right Click Tools automatically creates logs in the following folder:

C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\RecastRCT\Logs

Select any logs that are greater than 0k, right click and add them to a New -> “Compressed (Zipped) File”.

Hi,
if i remember, the problem is that i use settings when install RCT Community “skip permissions check…” (which is a workaround when Console work slower and slower…) . Try leave checked this settings.
